Kanzan : A Saniwa Showcase Zine

QnA

This is a compilation of questions and answers that have been asked. Feel free to take a look here to see if your question has been answered.

01. since it's gonna be like a magazine, does that mean we can do something like "Saniwa fashion" for our pages?

since this isn’t a fashion magazine, it wouldn’t be a focus, but I will be asking for a character point, so you can talk about your favorite thing about your sani through the lens of the creator (ex. Like a fashion point you want to bring focus to)

You could also have an illust of you showing off your outfit solo or posing with another sani that I can put at the beginning illustration spread :^D

02. how many designs of one sani can we submit? like, if i have one sani that has multiple designs, can i submit both of it or just the one that i like the most?

So it’s technically one design (for the interview highlight part) but in any other photos you submit it doesn’t have to be the same if you don’t want it to be. The idea is like there is someone a part of the magazine going around taking pictures of the saniwa and doing little street interviews, so if your sani likes to change their outfit a lot, go crazy lmao

Just make sure the one you submit for the highlight part is like your favorite i guess?

03. Regarding the saniwa’s outfits, are the saniwas required to wear formal outfits (like the tag #審神者会議で会いましょう in Twitter) or will the normal/default outfit suffice?

I would say something on the nicer end is like encouraged (battle outfits, more business casual attire) but if your sani wants to pull up in dad shorts and flip flops nothing is really stopping them

04. So personally I usually don't take a lot in real life photos, so is replacing that with the irl photos of the Saniwa OCs okay (I mean kind of illustrations/commissions)?

so that section is supposed to let people share themselves in a more literal sense (whether them going outside with merch, their shrines, taking photos with the in app photo feature, them in cosplay) It's to celebrate the people behind the fandom in a way, so i would prefer if there weren't illustrations past like doodles in irl photos for that section (like if you doodle over yourself / doodle a toudan into the photo with you ) but if you have other ideas i'm open to them since that section is flexible-ish

05. What's the setting explanation for the 10th anniversary saniwa gathering? were all our saniwas invited from their respective alternate universes and can tell everyone comes from different world/timelines? Should our saniwas comment on that? 🤔 im trying to make notes for the "Experience with the conference" question on the doc 😄

Feel free to think of the conference as a "hub" of sorts, where all sanis can gather from any timeline. Considering we all have our own headcanons, I think this way will work the best. Since it is a massive gathering, there's bound to be mixing of different universes saniwa which makes it part of the experience, so feel free to reference it.

06. Question about the ads: My saniwa is in some sort of a complex where there are a total of around 10-12 different honmarus, and she might want to probably use the ad corner to advertise her neighbors' business. Is that allowed as that might indirectly end up featuring more saniwas than what's probably allowed and probably without context

Yes that is alright! The ad section is more like this sani bought/asked for a spot to have a thing advertised so it is not required for them to appear in the interview section.

07. For the attendants, can they be in formal wear too for the full body drawing? Also is there certain poses that would be recommended? 🤔 (Like something to showcase the sanis'/attendants' outfits?)

Hmmm not really? As long as it fits on a vertical canvas (and like not super zoomed out)? You can have an elegant pose or sit on each other’s shoulders I’m not really picky. It's mainly a standing pose otherwise.

08. What I'd like to ask is, are commissioned artworks with proper credit allowed to be in the zine? I'm guessing they'd then have to confirm with the artists individually later if this is allowed.

Commissioned artworks are okay! Just make sure the artist you commissioned knows what you plan to do with the artwork. If they contact us to remove, we will have no choice but to do so.
